Miskolc Super Success in an international professional competition

EAGE is the European organization of industrial professionals in Earth Science research. The organization launched a tender under the title Minus CO2 Challenge 2024 for the development of ideas to help reduce the carbon dioxide load.

A five-member team from Miskolc, called Eco Geo, entered the competition starting in July 2024, made up of Syrian, Egyptian, Ecuadorian, and Sri Lankan students studying with us with the help of the Stipendium Hungaricum program. Their preparation was led by Dr Velledits Felicitász DSc. by associate professor. The participants of the Hungarian team led by Tammam Albaine were Ahmad Saifo, Mohamed Elbalawy, Katherin Sollango Fiallos Ayala, Budagodage Lisani Nimira Nadeeshani. Having successfully passed the first two stages of the three-round competition and they developed solutions, with which they successfully finished in third place in the final  decisive online presentation stage.
