07. March 2022. 09:25
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and its Raw Materials Section (EIT RawMaterials) support the ENGIE project, which aims to attract female high school students (13-18 years old) to engineering sciences. They are working to improve gender balance in these areas.

The project is a collaboration between 25 institutions from 21 European countries, launched in January 2020 and will run for three years. The project is coordinated  by the Institute of Mineralogy and Geology of the MF Faculty, University of Miskolc, personally by Dr. Éva Hartai.  honorary university professor.  Another expert from Miskolc, Dr. Anna Farkas, a secondary school teacher (Herman Ottó High School) also works in the Advisory Board.

The project has recently been awarded the title of ‘EIT Success Story’, which is a major recognition and can only be awarded to an outstandingly  successful activity. From now on, the project will receive special communication attention through the EIT channels.

The coordinator of the project, Honorary Professor Éva Hartai, was nominated by the Raw Materials Section for the ‘EIT Women Leadership Award’. A decision on the nomination will be made in September.
