One night, several hundred cities all over Europe
It is a Europe-wide public event, as from its first edition in 2006, dedicated to popular science and fun learning. It takes place each year on the last Friday night of September. More than 30 countries and over 300 cities are involved, as the Faculty of Earth Science and Engineering of the University of Miskolc.
The events showcase what researchers really do for society, in interactive and engaging ways, and promote research careers to young people and their parents.
“Bringing the researchers closer to the general public and increasing awareness of the research and innovation activities with a view to supporting the public recognition of researchers, creating an understanding of the impact of researchers’ work on daily life and encouraging young people to embark on scientific careers”.
